What is The 'Web Panel Service'
Office of Information Technology (OIT) has made available the 'Web Panel Service'. The Web Panel Service is a hosting space with secure FTP for file transfer. Other browser based features include MySQL Data Base space with a 'phpMyAdmin' management panel and approved applications installations.
Self-administration website accounts are available to CCNY faculty, staff and approved students for college related non-CMS web hosting. Admin account users will be assigned a domain with a unique DNS and login (ie: 'yoursitename.ccnysites.cuny.edu'). Other requested domain names will be subject to approval. There are different levels of account spaces available depending upon your requirements.

Below is a Web Panel Help File that is a sample set up of Fire FTP, a FireFox Add-On.
Users should follow instructions for their platform (PC or MAC) and download the applicable file for the particular FTP client they decide to use.
